ABOUT  KRISTINA

Hi! I'm Kristina.

I am passionate about teaching and music - so I decided to become a music teacher! My primary instrument is violin but I teach viola as well. I recently graduated with my Master's degree in Music Education and have been teaching violin and viola lessons for several years.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in the spring of 2023, receiving my Master's in Music Education. I previously graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2019, with my Bachelor of Arts in Music and Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. I have also completed Suzuki training for books 1, 2, 3 and 4 through the American Suzuki Institute in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. My primary teachers were Rudy Perrault at UMD and Pat D’Ercole and Allen Lieb through the American Suzuki Institute.

I previously taught lessons through the UMD Fine Arts Academy, Itasca Orchestra and Strings Program in Grand Rapids, MN, and Crescendo Youth Orchestra in Hibbing, MN. I have performed with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, UMD Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, Chequamegon Symphony Orchestra, Mesabi Symphony Orchestra and Trampled by Turtles as well as various other music events.

When I'm not performing or teaching, you can still find me hanging out with kids! My faith in Jesus is a huge part of my life and I love being involved with the youth ministry at my church, leading Bible studies, planning youth events, and mentoring teens. In my free time I love spending time with my family and friends, as well as mountain biking, skiing, running and traveling.
